"I met Swami in 2006, when I was working in a restaurant in Chesapeake, VA. He was wearing a dress as an Indian ascetic, which greatly impressed me. When I talked to him, I found him a very learned man. Subsequently, we became friends and I came to know about him. He is a Sanskrit scholar which is very unique being an American born to a Christian family. He has a mastery over recitation of Sanskrit mantras. He know the meaning of every mantra and can explain it scientifically.
As a priest and astrologer, his services which include doing Yajana/Pooja and other vedic hindu ceremonies, have a positive affect on my family life." Subhash Rai Bhagria "Swamiji is a friend, mentor, and spiritual teacher of mine that I feel compelled to write about because of all he has done for me and many others. His compassionate nature, selfless one-on-one service, and incredible intelligence/wisdom has been a guide and an inspiration to me ever since first meeting him in 2011. I volunteered with Swamiji assisting him with mainly taking care of his plants and herbs, something I greatly enjoyed and valued. Not only did Swamiji return the favor by consulting me spiritually through guided meditation, Vedic astrological consulting and general conversation, he acted as a constant system of support for me far beyond our weekly meetings working with the plants. His dedication to uplifting others as well as helping them heal themselves was, and still is a great source of inspiration in my life that I feel more than grateful for. Swamiji can break down complicated ideas into very easy-to-understand concepts that an individual can work with in order to become healthier spiritually, physically, and emotionally. I feel lucky and blessed to know him; he is a true gift to our community and the world." Ranjita Laura Catania |
"For years, I wanted to move in a more spiritual direction in my life, but was unable to do so. After meeting Swamiji, I found it easy to let go of harmful attachments and begin to make real progress. I feel blessed that I am able to draw upon his vast knowledge for the benefit of myself and others." Kevin Decamp "Tagging along on a friend's teacher-training program trip to
Yogaville, I met Swamiji in 2012. He was helping the students there to learn Ayurvedic practices. Some students and Swamiji and I, took a walk through a forest path..He was looking for Sassafras..I was very excited to be near, because I had been hoping that I would one day meet a Swami.. My first lesson here, was that I did not much care for myself, and Swamiji noticed this pointing out that I was getting a pretty bad sunburn.. Since then I have worked with him as a student and volunteer. It has brought profound peace to my life and the thought of him continues to help me daily. And this has even provided help for my family and friends in numerous ways..Never a judgemental presence, but kind, steadfast and helpful. He is always working day and night to serve others in the name of the Lord, whether we know it or not. " Kristin Shaver, Manassas, Virginia "It has been a great blessing for me to learn from Swamiji over the past two years. I am extremely grateful for having been in his presence. I have felt his immense Love in many ways and his humility, dedication, and sincerity will always remain an inspiration for me." - Neil from Richmond, financial analyst "After having performing the Pitṛ Tarpaṇam in the vedic way under the guidance of svāmījī, after so many years, We could now heard back the birds chirping joyfully everyday, throughout the whole daytime. After so many years, things seem to have returned to 'normal' here. Birds started singing and the then-clouds which appeared gloomy for several years subsequently transformed into beautiful, bright clean clouds. The sun in the sky now shines with full splendor, as it used to once before. The environmental 'feel' itself changed or should I say improved drastically. There, a sense of joy started taking over.
I would like to let the readers know that where I hail from, blackmagic-practice prevails. People, especially those who are jealous of their kins, neighbors etc. - they use blackmagic to 'prick' those innocent people lives because they can't digest to see others prospering or living in peace. They usually dabble into those dirty things and consequently harm us by means of dark powers. For almost 1 decade, my home, my living place had lost its peacefulness state; the joys to living was lost. There was a very disturbing negative energy which prevailed which used to disturb you mentally inside. After having performed the Pitṛ Tarpaṇam digiligently in the vedic way under the guidance of svāmījī, things as explained in the aforesaid paragraphs were conspicuous. I aṁ indebted to Gaṇanāthāmṛtānanda's Svāmījī for I believe maybe God sent him to me. I, including everybody who lives in the same place where I do, was in trouble since so long time." "I have been working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, addictions and weight problems for about eight years mostly using Ayurvedic healing principles, especially the breath, the practice of Mantras and Pancha Karma. Whenever I get stuck or the person I am working with is stuck I have called Swami Gananathamritanandasvami. I remember one young person who was struggling with an addiction to alcohol and crack. I asked Swami if he would perform a Puja and he did. After the Puja the woman told me as soon as she sat down with Swami she started to cry but caught herself and stopped. I just laughed and said why stop let the tears come they will help cleanse you. She has not used since. Another woman was struggling with schizophrenia and Swami performed another Puja and now this same young woman is working with a team to help others struggling with the same disease. Did the Pujas cause these two blessings to happen? I don't know. I do believe the Pujas were a big part of what happened or a big part of the universe coming together for these two blessings to occur and I am grateful each time. I am grateful for Swami and our friendship. "
